Description of System:

The dolphins (and whales) make sounds from their melon at the front of their head. THey do not have vocal cords but make sounds from the air pockets in their skull. In my research with people and the dolphins, I have found that these sounds, create a field of harmony in the ocean that is very therapeutic for swimmers. The human subjects make sounds in return, using their vocal cords. The dolphins respond to emotions and feelings that are transmitted in the sounds. Empathy is the most important quality to transmit for the communication to be received. This is why I have named the therapy: DOLPHIN SOUND TELEMPATHY

Diagnostic Methods:

This is experiential research called Participatory Research. This research takes place on boats where the dolphins come to meet us and we enter the ocean to swim among free dolphins.
In this way, only the dolphins who are interested in this subject, approach us to interact while making a variety of harmonic sounds. Some of the dolphin sounds evoke memories in the cellular intelligence in people's bodies, some people experience tears, joy, relaxation, altered states of consciousness and enhanced physical agility and endurance. This is a new therapy (ten years) that is still in the exploratory stages.

Scientific Studies:

Some foundations are aware of the healing value of dolphin sounds and also the ability of dolphins to communicate with human cellular intelligence. This is being borne out by the studies regarding organ transplants and the cellular knowledge that seems to be retained in the organ of the donor after it is in place in the recipient. Interesting research on this subject can be found with the Upledger Foundation. They are also beginning work with dolphin volunteers.

Other Elements:

This technique is enhanced by meditation as a means of contacting the dolphins before entering the water and also while swimming in a active meditative state while in the water. The dolphins' sonar is also a tool the dolphins use to analyze the emotional-physical state of the swimmers. In addition, we have found that the more comfortable and adept the swimmer is in the ocean, the more interaction they can experience with the members of the dolphin pod who have an interest in this research project.

Comments:

All of this research takes place in the ocean with free swimming dolphin pods, primarily Spinner and Spotted dolphins and sometimes with Bottlenose Dolphins. One group of people swims nearly every day with the dolphins, while other groups of people attend week-long programs to experience dolphin telempathy for the first time and give valuable feedback. This research takes place in Hawaii and the Azores Islands.
